Pet business content planner and companion 2026

The Pet Business Planner has raised £1250 for charity StreetVet.

Your toolkit to promote your pet business – your way

Running a pet business can feel like a rollercoaster – exhilarating highs and those wobbly moments where you need a nudge and a plan.

That’s why I created the Pet Business Content Planner and Companion.

This year’s edition is a dated 2026 diary with tools to help you map your marketing, connect with your community, and grow your pet or pet-friendly business.

From monthly inspiration to space for reflection, it’s designed to support you all year long.

What’s new for 2026

  • Dated diary format – runs January to December 2026 so you can plan with confidence.

  • 12 new “Words for When” exercises – guided journaling prompts to support you through moments like copying, self-compassion, comparisonitis, working with the energy you have, planning new projects, and more.

  • Ribbon page marker – so you can keep your place with ease.

  • Social media trackers – simple trackers to log activity and results without faff.

  • Quarterly planning pages – step back every three months to reset goals and priorities.

  • Week-per-view layout – plenty of room to map content, notes and to-dos at a glance.

This review from photographer and social media manager Kerry Jordan explains what to expect.

Why you’ll love it

  • Content inspiration – At the start of each month you’ll find themes, prompts and key awareness days to spark ideas for social media, blogs, emails or press coverage.

  • Reflect, celebrate, move forward – Monthly space to note what worked, what to tweak, and what to carry forward.

  • Words for when – Supportive questions and pep-talks for tough days, so you keep going and don’t shy away from celebrating wins.

  • Space to plan – Goals, notes, launches, pitches and lightbulb ideas all in one place so nothing gets lost.

Created with pet professionals in mind

Hello, I’m Rachel Spencer – journalist, coach, and dog mum to Patch.

Everything in this planner comes from years of working with pet business owners, helping them feel confident and comfortable putting their work out there.

The tools inside are the same ones I used to double the turnover of my dog-friendly cottage business in a year.

I hope you’ll love this 2026 edition as much as I’ve loved creating it.

This planner is so good for helping me stay on top of my social media, and it’s pet specific so I know what’s coming up in the diary. I also really like the to-do lists and space for content ideas, and the exercises to help you when you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Over the years, I’ve bought many planners, always trying to find the right one that ticks all the boxes that I need for my business. I thought I had finally found it last year when Rachel Spencer brought out her pet business content planner, but I’m delighted to say it’s even better this year!

In addition to great space for planning each month, it also includes invaluable coaching exercises from Rachel who has stacks of experience and ILM qualifications in coaching small businesses. Those exercises in itself is well worth the money, but she’s a generous soul and added even more for us!

She knows exactly what pet businesses need, both for planning and for helping us through those inevitable wobbles and “stuck” moments. In addition, it’s also packed with helpful awareness days to help guide social media plans.

I genuinely can’t think of anything that Rachel could add to improve her planner. If you’re considering buying one, my advice is don’t hesitate! You’ll save so much money on other planners that ‘seemed like a good idea at the time’. I don’t bother shopping around anymore, as I will go straight to Rachel each year for the perfect pet business planner.

The 2026 planner is absolutely incredible, helps me to remember all the important days and keep on top of my planning for the week. The illustrations are beautiful and it’s so well thought out and personalised.

  4. Kate Taylor

The planner is an absolute must for anyone running a small pet business.

Unlike a standard diary or calendar, it’s bursting with useful hints, tips, and thoughtful prompts to help you plan ahead with confidence.

From awareness days and goal-setting pages to brainstorming space and dedicated moments to “paws and reflect” on your achievements, it really helps you stay organised.

    What I love:
The layout – it’s so easy to navigate and perfect for organising my (slightly chaotic!) brain!
The audience tracker – great for keeping on top of social media/ email growth.
Monthly content ideas – helpful hints and tips for what to include in your content.

I’d highly recommend for any pet business owner looking to stay consistent, inspired, and organised throughout the year!

Brilliant! I’ve already used this planner loads and it’s not even 2026 yet. The words for when section is the supportive friend you need when it gets tough and you have doubts. I’m so excited to use this through 2026 and get on top of my planning

I want to give a special shout-out to Rachel Spencer and these beautifully designed content planners.

Rachel has been part of the DoggyWarriors journey right from the very beginning, always supportive, encouraging and genuinely invested in what we’re building. So it’s been wonderful to watch her own business evolve and grow over the years and these planners are such a reflection of that journey.

There’s clearly so much thought behind every page. It’s not just a planner, it’s a practical, considered tool for anyone who wants to bring a bit more structure and clarity to their content planning.

As someone who talks a lot about consistency in marketing, I genuinely believe tools like this can make a big difference. Having a clear place to plan ideas, stay organised and actually commit to showing up makes everything feel far more achievable.

These would make a brilliant gift for anyone running a dog-related business!

Thank you so much, Rachel for the thoughtful gift and for being such a constant supporter over the years. I’m really looking forward to putting mine to good use.
