Learn from 20 experts in the Empowered Petpreneur series

If you’d like to learn different ways to promote your pet business that won’t cost you a penny you might like to join in the Empowered Petpreneur Series.

It’s taking place online over five days next week – July 15-19th. Each day there are four  seminars that you can watch online for free.

The series is hosted by Mikaela Samuels, a pet business coach in America and as part of it she asked me to share ways to get media coverage.

There are 20 seminars in total and they cover branding, time management, price, work life balance, website building, Facebook ads, e mail marketing, blogging, Pinterest and much much more.

Day 1 is Setting The Foundations

Day 2 is Building a Sustainable Brand and Business

Day 3 is Growing Your Exposure and Online Prescence

Day 4 is Marketing Platforms and Strategy

Day 5 is Expanding your Business Potential

I’m speaking on Day 3 – Getting Your Name Out There – Publicity Tips for your Pet Business which I’m really excited about.

I’ll be talking about how to win media coverage for your pet business

You can get a preview of the talk in this guest blog I did for Mikaela here.

Ten steps to winning media coverage for your pet business.

When Mikaela contacted me I was flattered to be asked to take part, and being nosey, I had a look at her story and background.

It was her logo that jumped out at me, a cheeky terrier’s face and when I read her webpage, well, I was in bits.

Mikaela and Maggie who inspired her business

She lost her dog Maggie, a terrier who she grew up with as her family dog in February 2018, just two months after setting up her business.

Mikaela said: “Maggie helped me become the person I am today. She helped me find a life surrounded by doggies – professionally and personally.

“She greeted me every morning with the fervour for life – a readiness to live and stretch her legs and pull on her leash and fetch her tennis ball and eat all the food possible.

“Her legacy will continue on throughout the rest of my life. That I know. I will continue to strive and live in her honour – go outside more, eat awesome food, be as excited about life as she was, and be as loving and good and happy.

“Every time I look at my logo and see her face, I will look at it with appreciation, love, and happiness, and thank her for inspiring me to start a business I love.”

Having been there myself and knowing how tough it is carrying on with a blog when you have lost a dog, I knew we’d get on and that I wanted to work with her.

I wrote words so similar when I lost my dog Daisy, who inspired me to set up my pet blog and sent my career on a different path, writing about the pet world.

Now Mikaela has welcomed another dog into her heart. This is her with adorable Wilson, another terrier.

Mikaela and Wilson

So, if you like me, then I think you’ll like what Mikaela has to offer.

She explained: “While working with pretty much all of my clients, one of the biggest issues that pops up is finding the time to do the many things we need to do in our businesses.

“The overwhelm and burnout in the pet industry is all too real, and as entrepreneurs OR petpreneurs, it can become too much. I totally get it and I’ve been there.

“And I wanted to find a way to help and focus in on ways pet entrepreneurs could grow their businessed WHILE supporting a sustainable and balanced life.

“So, I reached out to the experts and interviewed 20 pet industry professionals and online entrepreneurs.

“They’re sharing their best tips for growing a pet business in a way that promotes ease, work/life balance, confidence, and profitability.”

Experts on the line up include Kristin Morrison, J. Nichole Smith, Veronica Boutelle, Tori Mistick, Kate McQuillan, and many more.

If you’re reading this and thinking ‘this sounds brilliant,’ then you can tune in next week for free, and you also have the option to buy the complete series to watch in your own time.

You can sign up for a free ticket here and the videos are available from 9am PST or 4pm UK time on the day they’re released for 24 hours.

The event is now closed but you can find lots of resources on Mikaela’s website: https://www.petmarketingunleashed.com/about
