What is the Pet Business Content Planner and Companion?
It’s a physical planner and diary, hard-backed, A5, designed to help you take control of your marketing, stay organised, and grow your visibility.
It’s packed with tools and strategies that I know will make a difference for you.
And for 2026, there are a few exciting updates, along with something brand new – The Planner Club – which I’ll explain more about shortly.
Here’s what’s inside the 2026 Pet Business Content Planner:
Monthly content prompts and awareness days
Each month highlights key dates and themes relevant to pet businesses.
As always, lots of the dates come from businesses I’ve worked with, like Niki French’s Don’t Walk Your Dog Day on April 2nd or Sarah Jones’s Dogs in Yellow Day on March 20th.
These dates aren’t just great for social media – they can also help you pitch to the press or plan campaigns to get your work noticed.
Goal setting and reflection
At the start of each month, there’s space for you to set goals, break them into actionable steps, and track your progress.
You’ve also got 90-day planning sections at the start of each quarter, to help you focus, reflect and reset as the year goes on.
Words for When
This section is a series of guided journaling prompts to help you navigate those tricky moments – like managing comparisonitis, dealing with copycats, working with the energy you have and other things that come up when you’re running your own business.
They’re based on the themes I see most with clients and use evidence-informed tools I’ve picked up while studying for my ILM Level 7 Executive Coaching qualification.
Weekly overviews and habit trackers
The planner includes a week-per-view layout where you can jot down daily plans, notes, and tasks. There’s a habit tracker too, to help you stay consistent.
You’ll also find space to track your goals, habits, finances, and things you’re celebrating.
There’s a ribbon marker and bookmark to help you keep your place, and it’s fully dated for 2026, starting on Thursday 1st January.
It’s designed to be practical and inspiring, helping you feel in control of your marketing rather than overwhelmed by it.
Who is this 2026 Pet Business Content planner for?
This planner is for pet business owners – whether you’re a dog trainer, pet shop owner, behaviourist, or blogger – who want to stand out and make an impact.
It’s perfect if you’ve ever said:
- “I want to be more consistent with my content.”
- “I need ideas that connect with my audience.”
- “I’d love to get featured in the press but don’t know where to start.”
If any of that sounds familiar, this planner is for you.
Especially if you’re someone who loves a bit of structure but also values mindset support.
Because this isn’t just about planning – it’s about giving you the confidence to show up and be visible.
Who it isn’t going to be helpful for?
This planner might not be for you if:
- You’re not ready to commit time to working on your visibility and marketing. The planner is a tool to support you, but it still requires you to take action.
- You’re looking for a generic, one-size-fits-all solution. The planner is tailored specifically for pet businesses, so if you’re after something that applies to any industry, this isn’t it.
- You prefer digital tools or apps for planning. The planner is physical – it’s designed for people who love the process of writing things down and reflecting on paper.
It’s also not for you if you’re hoping for a magic wand.
While the planner gives you the tools, prompts, and guidance to stay consistent and visible, it’s not an instant fix – it’s about building good habits and making space to work on your business as well as in it.

How can the Pet Business Content Planner and Companion help you?
Here are some of the key ways:
- It simplifies your planning: With prompts and awareness days ready to go, you won’t waste time figuring out what to post or write about.
- It builds your confidence: The “Words for When” section is like having a coach by your side to tackle wobbly moments and encourage you to take action.
- It helps you stay consistent: By tracking your goals and reflecting on what’s working, you’ll feel more in control and motivated to keep showing up.
This planner pulls everything into one place in an A5 hardback book you can pop in your bag or keep on your desk.
Why I created this planner
I’ve seen the same challenges crop up again and again for pet business owners: feeling overwhelmed, struggling with confidence, or not knowing where to start.
The tools have been tested on my dog-friendly business, Sunnyside Cottage in Robin Hood’s Bay.
It’s now known as ‘Yorkshire’s most dog-friendly holiday cottage,’
By focusing on being visible in the media and on social media, and using what’s in this planner, I’ve doubled my turnover in just a year.
My goal was to create a tool that’s practical, supportive, and specifically tailored to pet businesses.
What’s new for 2026?
The layout and approach are similar to last year’s version, because the feedback was so positive. But I’ve made some tweaks based on what people asked for:
- It’s dated from 1st January 2026
- You’ll find 12 brand new Words for When exercises
- There’s now space for 90-day planning at the start of each quarter
- More awareness days included, covering all of 2026
- And I’ve added a few extra tools for tracking finances and celebrations throughout the year
Introducing: The Planner Club
This year I’ve also created The Planner Club – to help you actually use your planner, keep up with your plans, and stay supported and accountable.
It’s for you if you know you work better with a bit of structure and a friendly nudge to keep going and the investment is £120 and includes your planner..
Here’s what’s included:
- Your 2026 Pet Business Content Planner (worth £40)
- A one-day online planning event in November (recording available if you can’t make it live)

- Six coworking half-days (Jan, Feb, May, July, Oct, Nov)

It’s designed to help you stay on track without pressure or overwhelm.
