Why I’m closing my Pets Get Visible membership and what’s next

Spread the love:

Pets Get Visible is a membership that I created in November 2022 to support clients in putting themselves out there.

Not in a ‘you must do this’ way but in a ‘find a way to be visible that works for you’ way and there have been hundreds of members since it began.

After four years, I’m closing the membership at the end of July and in this post I’m explaining why and what’s going to happen next.

I know Pets Get Visible made a huge difference for people and if you’d like to be in my world, there will be a new membership.

You can learn more on what to expect in this post.

What Pets Get Visible was all about

Over four years, we created a brilliant, supportive community, helped hundreds of pet business owners feel more confident and visible.

I built up a resource library covering everything from PR and publicity to blogging, podcasting, storytelling, social media, imposter syndrome, navigating rocky moments online, and a lot more.

It started out as a planning call and a question and answer session each month but grew into workshops, coworking calls, member socials, challenges and I felt like I needed to keep adding and adding.

I love what it became and what people did for one another inside it and that made this decision harder.

How I’ve learned through Pets Get Visible that less is more

Over the last few months I spent a lot of time thinking about what makes a difference for the people I work with and it was not about more more more.

What I kept coming back to was this: more content doesn’t create more action.

The more workshops I put on didn’t mean people made more progress. It was more content for them to consume, and yes, it was useful.

The people who get the best results aren’t the ones consuming the most – they’re the ones who consistently do a small number of things, with focus and a plan.

For me, the key things I’m seeing that work are planning, accountability, focus, and implementation.

So that’s what my focus will be when it comes to supporting people in the future.

What happens with Pets Get Visible

Pets Get Visible will come to an end at the end of July 2026.

If you’re in the membership, instead of the usual themed workshop, there’ll be two coaching sessions that month, so more time for questions, get support, and make the most of our time together.

August will be a transition month while I take a short break and get ready for what comes next, The Planner Club.

The Pet Business Content Planner for 2026

Why The Planner Club

I’ve been running The Planner Club alongside Pets Get Visible since November 2025.

It started as extra support for people who’d bought the physical planner, a space actually to use it rather than leave it on a shelf.

Quarterly planning sessions, co-working mornings, time set aside to sit down and think about what you’re doing and why.

And what I’ve seen in those sessions is exactly what I believe makes the difference.

You set out what you want to achieve, you have the sessions where you keep coming back to it, you’re held accountable to it.

There’s a question I came across recently that’s stayed with me: What has to happen this year so you don’t look back on 2026 with disappointment?

That’s the question The Planner Club is built around.

So the new version of The Planner Club – opening for enrolment at the end of August and starting in September – is where Pets Get Visible and The Planner Club come together.

What’s included in The Planner Club

Every month, there’ll be a Q&A call, a planning session, and a three-hour co-working morning.

Every quarter, there’ll be a dedicated 90-minute planning session.

There’ll be a full-day online planning event in November.

There is a private Facebook community, and access to the full Pets Get Visible workshop library.

This includes workshops on getting in the press, applying for awards, storytelling, blogging, social media, newsletters, confidence, content creation, repeatable tasks, defamation and lots more.

If you join as an annual member, the planner is included.

Annual membership is £300, monthly is £30, and there’s a quarterly option at £75 too.

It’s a year’s commitment rather than rolling monthly, because I want to build a community of people who are invested in being part of it.

What won’t be there is the monthly themed workshop, the socials, the challenges, and the constant creation of new content.

Because I don’t think more content is what most people need. Instead, it’s the support to actually do the things they already know they should be doing.

Behind the scenes over the last four years

This membership has been a huge part of my business and my life for four years, and those four years have been challenging.

Two bereavements, a relationship ending, moving house twice, buying a cottage, stopping drinking, an ILM Level 7, and now my Emotions Coaching Practitioner Training.

So much has changed since I created Pets Get Visible in 2022 as an affordable way of offering support as we headed into the cost of living crisis.

It has grown so much from the £15 a month ‘mini-membership’ I set out for it to be, and now it’s time to do something differently.

The Planner Club feels simpler, clearer, and more suited for where I am now, and from what I’ve learned helps people move forward.

What to do next if you want to join The Planner Club

If you’re already in Pets Get Visible, all your payments will stop in July and you won’t be charged for anything you’re no longer using.

If you’re already in the Planner Club, nothing changes for you – you’ll receive everything you paid for, and in September I’ll share details of the new version if you’d like to join.

If you have any questions, just send me a message. And if you’d like to stay in my world – I really hope you will – keep an eye out for enrolment opening at the end of August.
